It's time to go to the shopping center at midnight, where we wait for dances, poems, and the (un)said words of POETRY MIDNIGHT OLiMPIA! 📜

For the first time in Latvia – a night of poetry and electronic music in a shopping center! The event series Poetry Midnight is a format that combines the sounds of electronic music and poetry. The main goal of the event is to create a platform where poets and artists can freely express themselves and create something new, highlighting unique and unconventional cultural event locations, as well as providing a space where people can dance the night away. In this extraordinary way, poetry can be brought into the spotlight and made more accessible.

When the store doors close, a unique cultural event will begin – POETRY MIDNIGHT OLIMPIA. A poetry sale, music, visual projections, and open mic sessions will create a special atmosphere that has never been experienced in any other shopping center before.

The event will feature poets Amanda Kaufmane, Inga Gaile, Agnese Radziņa, Jelena Glazova together with Igors Gubenko, Kārlis Vērdiņš, Grēta Volkoviča, Vaida Vovere, Māra Ulme, as well as the musical group BIRKA (Zvīņas and Klaudijs). Poetry Midnight Olimpia will also be accompanied by the phenomenal DJ duo Krista Kaufmane and Gerda Roze Medne, who have curated the shopping center’s musical backdrop, along with the incredible VJ duo Anna Marija Baleviča and Rio Baris, who will present visually stunning projections.

On the 2nd floor of Olimpia, a dining area will be available, where live radio will also be broadcasted. Here, visitors will have the opportunity to listen to interviews with event artists, participate in the open mic poetry session, and engage in discussions about conscious consumer culture.
